Youth & Services for Children (Councillor Howard)

The ‘Drop In’ restarts on Monday 14th May with the new later times of 6.30pm till 8.30pm with the hope that this will attract older Youths.  Chantel and Neil the Y.M.C.A  Youth Workers have handed out leaflets around the school and put up new posters around the town.  Chantel and Neil also did some outreach work for us last week going out into the town to chat to kids out on the street, I am very keen on this type of interaction and would like them to do this on a regular basis throughout the year or  as long as my budget will allow it.

I’m meeting with Ben Gibbons from Y.M.C.A. next week to discuss how things are working out with the ‘Drop In’ and to see how we can improve things.
