The camper van parked on Promenade Way, registration X991 JTR has been there for several weeks. Terry says it is taxed and no action can be taken. However, if anyone knows who it belongs to, perhaps they could let me know and we will try to get it moved. Julie is going to see if she can find out as well.
The sale of Lakeside Caravan Park has fallen through. Two other people have shown an interest and will presumably go directly to Chris Poll.
The Model Boat Club held a Twilight Sale last Monday, 10th and the Scouts have had their boats out for hire during the Easter holidays. Terry has put some notices on the islands advising that there can be no unauthorised entry onto the islands.
I have suggested to Ian Taylor that we charge £2.00 per day on our grass car park. He said we are able to charge what we like but the sign would need to be changed on the machines. I would need Council’s approval to go ahead with this.
I saw pictures of the toilet floors being cleaned, I checked the floor, doesn’t look a huge difference, but it has been done.
The petanque area has been fenced off ready for construction.
All the fencing around the paddling pool has been removed, the path around the paddling pool has been completely cleared and the whole area is looking good. It has to be realised that when we get very high tides, Tendring cannot come back too frequently to clear. However, when the Beach Warden starts this year, one of his extra duties will be to sweep the path daily.
A dropped kerb has been put in half way along the car park, but now work seems to have ceased for the time being. There is no signage to indicate access or egress.
