Hard & Harbour (Councillor Carr)
The following items relate to activity within the harbour:
a) Continuing progress is being made on Council Land boundaries and assets within the harbour area, in particular the smack dock and the dinghy boat park.
b) A meeting with the council Grounds Manager was held where discussion on moving the notice board at the harbour to a more suitable position, along with the possibility of replacing the BT phone box with a traditional red phone box to include with a coastguard emergency phone.
c) A meeting of the planned Harbour Heritage Pier on 17th December 2019 was postponed due to other commitments, the next heritage pier meeting will be on 22nd January 2020 at the Parish Hall.
d) Confirmation was given by Cllr Carr and Chasney to Council Solicitors that the license drawn up last year by council, re Harbour Commissions was a satisfactory license. We would like to highlight additional maintenance responsibility’s on the license which we intend to discuss with the Harbour at a meeting confirmed on January 15th 2020.
e) Cllr Carr and Chasney attended the Harbour Commission Christmas Social Event on 23rd December 2019.
