  • Notification from PKF Littlejohn LLP (External Auditor), of the completion of the limited assurance review for the year ended 31 March 2018. Their report states:- “On the basis of our review of Sections 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), in our opinion the information in Sections 1 and 2 of the AGAR is in accordance with Proper Practices and no other matters have come to our attention giving cause for concern that relevant legislation and regulatory requirements have not been met.” Notice of conclusion of audit will be posted on the notice board and web-site on Wednesday 19th September 2018, as per the legal requirement.

CORRESPONDENCE REQUIRING ACTION:

3.1 Essex County Council are proposing to introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions on the following length of Station Road, Brightlingsea (map previously circulated to all Councillors):-

 

NORTH SIDE – from its junction with Lower Park Road for a distance of approximately 7.6 metres in a north easterly direction.

SOUTH SIDE – from its junction with Lower Park Road for a distance of approximately 13.1 metres in a north easterly direction.

 

The existing TSRGD Bus Stops will be shortened and will now be located:-

 

NORTH SIDE – from a point approximately 7.6 metres from its junction with Lower Park Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 13 metres.

SOUTH SIDE – from a point approximately 13.1 metres from its junction with Lower Park Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 13 metres.

 

Statement of Reasons

 

To install junction protection markings at the junction of Station Road/Lower Park Road to prevent any vehicles parking and making it impossible for the buses to enter/exit the bus stop cages safely.
