1.1 Notification from Essex County Council of an intended closure of Colne Road, due to commence on 18th November 2019 for 1 day. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while UK Power Networks undertakes upgrade to electrical service. 2.0 CORRESPONDENCE REQUIRING ACTION:
2.1 The Brightlingsea Scout Group requests permission to use the Lower Park Playing Fields for its Classic Car Show and Fun Day 2020, on Sunday 6th September from 10am until 5pm. They would also like to ask for free parking on the day, on the Western Promenade, from Tendring District Council, as in previous years.
2.2 Tendring District Council are looking at implementing several ‘Happy to Chat’ benches around the district. The idea is to encourage our community to talk to each other. They We have done a lot of research into this, which they believe will help those who are lonely to make friends. They also believe that it will help our communities health and well-being. They have found an area they believe it will work well in, in Victoria Gardens. Below is the proposed area and would like to place it at the end by the wall of the green. They will supply the bench and the plaque to be placed on the bench, which they we will maintain.
