J&K Events Ltd would like to hold a “Brightlingsea Food & Drink Festival 2017” on the Western Promenade on Friday 25th August 5pm – 9pm, Saturday 26th August 11am – 6pm and Sunday 27th August 11am – 5pm.  A meeting was held with the organisers of this event on 14th February, to which all Councillors were invited to attend.

Tendring District Council are holding a training session to discuss determining planning applications.  This training will be held on Friday 7th April 2017 at 2pm until 4pm in the Council Chamber, Weeley Council Officers.  The aim of the training will be to outline how the District Council determines planning applications in order to assist Parish and Town Councils to frame comments on development proposals and improve understanding the decisions that are made.  They are only able to offer each Council two places.

The Essex Group Motor Caravanners Club would like to hire the Lower Park Playing Fields for a rally to be held on 6th – 8th July 2018. 

The Brightlingsea Carnival Association requests permission to hold its annual carnival on the Bayard Recreation Ground on Saturday 17th June 2017.
