Tuesday 29th January attended a Local Plan and Planning Policy Meeting.
Report of the Corporate Director Planning and Regeneration Services on Local Development Scheme. To seek the Committees agreement to publish a new Local Development scheme and revised timetable for completing the examination of the Local Plan.
To inform the committee of the implications of the Governments new planning reform paper. This includes disposal of local authority land, supporting High Streets and increasing the delivery of new homes.
Permitted development rights will change and changes to class will be made easier.
Support regeneration of high streets and to be able to extend existing buildings upwards to create new homes.
Wednesday 20th February attending Human Resources and Council Tax Committee.
Agenda, Update on Apprentices, Pay Policy Statement, and Defence Employer Recognition Scheme update. Some of these items which apply to Brightlingsea Town Council will form part of agenda for staff meeting.
Invited with Councillors Karen Yallop and Graham Steady to the opening of toilets on Western Promenade as District Councillors. Its hard to believe what they used to look like.

Resources and Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee Meeting on the 11th February 2019, where the quarterly performance was scrutinised and update on Seaside Festival events.

24th January I attended a committee meeting for audit for the external auditors to give a report.
25th January attended The Holocaust Memorial Service at Clacton as Vice Chairman of TDC.
27th January attended Maldon Councils Civic Service as Vice Chairman of TDC.
28th January attended meeting for Community Leadership Overview Scrutiny where the Director of Education at Essex County Council and Dawn Emberson, Relationship Manager, Active Essex attended to discuss how all schools can meet their statutory duty and move towards 100% of the districts children learning to swim.
Discussion took place on how the committee will put forward to cabinet a response to ECC regarding the changes to the library service.
4th February a public meeting was held at the Parish Hall with myself, Councillor Jayne Chapman and County Councillor Goggin ECC, regarding the way forward for Brightlingsea Library. The meeting was well attended by the public.

Full Council Meeting on 22nd January 2019 where the main items discussed were a petition to keep Ipswich Road Clacton toilets open, powers to stop anti-social behaviour in Clacton Town Centre, a statement on the TDC policy on gambling and changes to the constitution.
Full council meeting 5th February 2019 where the only item was the Budget for 2019/20 which was adopted. TDC council tax is to be increased by £5.
Met with TDC Portfolio Holder and officers to officially open the Batemans Car Park Toilets.
