The Essex County Council (Sydney Street, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sydney Street, in the Parish of Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring from its junction with Ophir Road to its junction with Francis Street.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 21 November 2016 for two days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching is undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Francis Street, New Street, Waterside, Sydney Street and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 21 November 2016 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
