The Essex county Council (Robinson Road, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Robinson Road, in the Parish of Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring from its point 230 metres south east of its junction with Granville Way, south east to its junction with Freelands.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2017 for ten days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while widening of road, new footpath construction and drainage works associated with new housing development is undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Robinson Road, Mill Street, Chapel Road, and vice versa.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The Order will come into effect on 19th February 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
