Brightlingsea Town Council wishes all residents a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Our New Year’s resolution is to carry on improving existing services and facilities while introducing new ones.

New initiatives introduced since the start of the council year in May include:

  • Acquisition and consecration of extension to All Saints’ Churchyard
  • Environmental policy
  • Brightlingsea Nature Network
  • Diabetic eye checks
  • The town heritage pier project
  • Updating the Town Plan
  • Additions to the Lido of new pump room equipment and the extension/refurbishment of café
  • Extension of Operation Quasar in partnership with the police
  • Public consultation regarding highway issues
