Minute Number 205 – Questions from the Public.

Q1) Gary Scott thanked the Mayor for her influence in getting Councillor Derrick Louis to look at the water problem on the B1027.  He also thanked the Clerk for her help on this matter.  He said that they have not solved the entire problem, but he will be pursuing this with St Osyth, Alresford and Thorrington.

Q2) Richard Price – Would you consider inviting the Police Commissioner down as he said he would like to visit all areas in his first year?

A2) The Mayor replied that yes we will look into this.

Q3) Tony Chapman – The report submitted by Councillor V Chapman states that the youth who vandalised the skate park has been given a caution by the Police.  How much will it cost to repair the skate park and will the Town Council try to recover the costs?

A3) Councillor Chapman replied that the repairs are now underway costing around £5,000.00.  She said that she was not sure if it is possible to recover the costs.  Councillor Yallop suggested that the Council should ask the parents and the young person to come to council so we tell him the consequences of his actions.   Councillor Chapman said she would look into this.
