COUNCIL  MEETING – 20TH JANUARY 2011

Minute 155 – Questions from the Public.

Q1) Mr Price – Regarding pot holes, don’t take the responses lightly.  It was reported recently that a 74 year old crashed their car because of a pot hole and was badly shaken up.

Also what is the future of planning laws?

Q2) Anna Burnett – How dare Colchester pinch all of our money, what’s the point of voting?

Councillor Dixon replied that we share your views; the Government are not being helpful.  Objectors can’t challenge approval, but developers can challenge objections.

Councillor V Chapman said that Tendring District Council is still waiting for clarification.
