Minute Number 122 – Questions from the Public.

Q1) Thanks to the staff for all their hard work during the year.

Q2) There is  lack of rubbish bins outside the Museum, there used to be one on the bus stop.  We did ask Veolia about installing a smaller bin on the post, but was told that the smaller bins are a waste of time.  The Mayor replied that the Council is looking at bus stop in that area, and this will be looked at, at the same time.  He added that there are around 98 bins in the town, including dog bins, and the council are looking at the positioning of these.

Q3) The Co-Op delivery lorry has been taking the route down Eastern Road to get to Station Road – how do they get round the corner into York Road?  The Mayor replied that the Council will have a word with the Co-Op to see why this is happening.
