093. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 14TH JANUARY 2021:
The Minutes of the meeting held on the 14th January 2021 were approved as a true record of the meeting.

Councillor Chapman declared a personal interest in the following application.
097. TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING APPEAL DECISION:
Application No: 19/01513/OUT – Construction of a detached bungalow – 6 Maltings Road, Brightlingsea.
Appeal Ref: APP/P1560/W/20/3254376
Decision: The appeal is dismissed
Councillor Steady briefed members that at the full Council meeting of Tendring District Council held on Tuesday, the Local Plan was adopted. He said that the Local Plan committee have worked exceptionally hard to get this through, which will hopefully stop these ‘speculative’ developments where the developers say that ‘as we have no local plan and we are not doing the numbers then these developments should be allowed’. He said that this will actually stop these speculative development requests. He then asked the Chairman if he could write to Chairman Councillor Nick Turner stating that this is a good step forward and to pass on best regards/wishes to the committee. This was agreed.
