- 038. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 10TH OCTOBER 2019:
The Minutes of the meeting held on the 10th October 2019 were approved as a true record of the meeting.
- 039. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS:
Councillor Carr had, prior to the meeting, declared a personal interest in application 19/01513/OUT, and therefore withdrew from both any discussion and the meeting itself.
Councillor Chapman declared a personal interest in application 19/01513/OUT, and stated that she would speak to the application, but would then leave the meeting whilst the application was discussed.
- 040. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:
Application No: 19/01513/OUT – Proposed detached bungalow – Rear of 6 Maltings Road, Brightlingsea
Councillor Chapman mentioned that a lot of backland development had been approved in the town, including two in Regent Road and one in Folkards Lane. She then left the meeting at 7.37pm and took no further part in the meeting.
The Chairman then briefed members on ‘backland development’ taken off the Planning Portal. He also mentioned previous applications, which has been submitted on this site. A discussion took place. It was then agreed to object to the application, as follows:-

✓Makes observations on the application – (1) Inappropriate backland development having a detrimental impact on a number of existing residents; (2) Too close to properties in Sarre Way.
