156. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 14TH JULY 2021:

The Minutes of the meeting held on the 14th July 2021 were approved as a true record of the meeting.

The Chairman reminded Members to declare interests when necessary.

158. TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS IN RESPECT OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED TO TENDRING DISTRICT COUNCIL UP TO AND INCLUDING 29TH JULY 2021:

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:

Application No: 21/01221/FUL – Proposed single and two storey rear extension with alterations and detached double garage with studio office above – Aldous House, 75 Tower Street, Brightlingsea

Reason for comment:

Makes observations on the application – Brightlingsea Town Council agree to the house extension, but oppose to the studio/office/garage, as it is too big.  Also it must not be used for residential.  Most garages in Lime Street are single storey, this is double storey.

The Town Council to confirm its original objection to 20/00934/OUT, however would add and stress the following:- We would confirm that the access splays are bad with lack of vision, and would stress that the access is past a Grade 1 Listed Building.  No one will lay claim to the un-adopted road – it is a dirt track.
