The Minutes of the meeting held on the 29th October 2020 were approved as a true record of the meeting.

066. TO MAKE RECOMMENDAIONS IN RESPECT OF THE FOLLOWING PREMISES LICENSE APPLICATION MADE UNDER THE LICENSING ACT 2003:

Application No: 20/00554/PREMGR – Premises License Grant – Coach House Coffee Shop, Waterside, Brightlingsea

This application was discussed, and members felt that clarification was needed from Tendring District Council on the following:-

  • Sale of alcohol on and off the premises – Is this an off license arrangement?
  • Performance of live music – Is this inside or outside the premises?

Once the information has been received, the application will be re-discussed at the next planning meeting, scheduled for 26th November 2020.

067. TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WHICH ARE ‘FOR INFORMATION ONLY’:

The following applications were noted:-

Application No: 20/01398/LUPROP – Siting of a caravan – 6 Walnut Way, Brightlingsea

Application No: 20/01464/CMTR – Proposed demolition of the existing caretakers house and modular store.  The erection of a two-storey standalone building comprising 12 classrooms and associated ancillary accommodation to accommodate an additional 300 pupils.  The construction of an external corridor to the existing school, entrance canopy and associated refurbishment works to create a 1500 place secondary school within a sixth form – The Colne Community School, Church Road, Brightlingsea
