Paddling Pool Update
Following a meeting with Tendring District Council Officers on Monday 18th July 2016, the following update has been received:
“We can confirm that concrete is booked for 7.30am on Wednesday 20th July & at the very least the promenade will be reinstated. If all goes well we hope to bring the chamber up to finished level as well but, that is very much tide dependant. The pool will be filled for the weekend.
As discussed earlier all mud/sand will be levelled or removed & the herras fencing taken away with just a temporary cover over the chamber, works will continue to complete the chamber around the tides but only from 5/6am until 9ish or when it starts to get busy. Clearly if it is raining or cold & nobody is about than common sense would suggest we carry on, equally if its getting busy by 8ish on a nice day then we will come away & this will only be two/three days to fit the cover & valves.”
Although the pool is filled as of today, depending on how the work goes, it could necessitate some draining of the pool but as stated the pool will be full by the end of the week.”
