2020 has proved to be a traumatic year for our community. We have faced unprecedented challenges, but our strong community spirit has mitigated a lot of adverse conditions.

I would like to place on record the Town Council’s gratitude to our local businesses who have continued to provide services for our community, and to the large numbers of volunteers and support services who have stepped forward to help and care for the vulnerable members of our community. Also to our town’s organisations who fostered a traditional Christmas spirit by adapting activities to abide by government guidelines.

We should strengthen our resolve to face 2021 positively and look forward to better times while being thankful for all that our wonderful town has to offer.

Happy New Year to all.
