Minutes of the Planning Committee held at the Parish Hall, Victoria Place, Brightlingsea, Essex on Thursday 9th June 2011 at 7.30 p.m.

7. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 9TH JUNE 2011:

The Minutes of the 9th June 2011 are approved as a true record of the meeting.

8. DECLARATION OF PERSONAL & PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS:
 
None were declared.

9. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:

11/00313/ADV – 16 High Street, Brightlingsea – Proposed re-branding of ATM.  New surround with signage stating free cash withdrawals in white lettering out of red and blue surround.  The new surround is made of 19mm foamex with a 1mm vinyl lamination.
Recommend Approval (no problem)

11/00586/CON – Sun Inn, 128 New Street, Brightlingsea – Demolition of extensions and garage.  Construction of new extensions to the Sun Inn, change of use of ground floor, construction of three new houses, demolition of existing garage and replacement of same, changes of parking area and associated landscape works.
Brightlingsea Town Council has concerns with the number of dwellings on the New Street/Colne Road corner and the likely increase in traffic.

Members also agreed to ask Tendring District Council to defer contentious applications before determination to allow ward member to discuss Brightlingsea Town Council’s objections.

There being no further business to discuss the Meeting closed at 7.50 p.m.
