098. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 21ST MARCH 2013:
The Minutes of the 21st March 2013 were approved as a true record of the meeting.
099. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS:
None were declared.
100. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:
13/00281/FUL – Erection of 3 no. detached dwellings on land at George Avenue & Edward Avenue, Brightlingsea – Land at George Avenue and Edward Avenue, Brightlingsea
Brightlingsea Town Council applaud the design but is concerned that they are too big for the street scene in that area. We would prefer to see just two at this size as per original outline consent.
13/00285/FUL – Erection of 2 no. detached two bedroom dwellings with associated parking facilities – Land to the rear of Florence Cottages, Back Waterside Lane, Brightlingsea
Whilst not liking back-land development, we accept that this is probably the best use for this piece of land, under the circumstances. The development has been well planned, we can, therefore, see no reason to refuse this plan.
101. PRESENTATION FROM JOHN POPHAM PLANNING ON THE FORMER ASTRALUX SITE, RED BARN ROAD, BRIGHTLINGSEA:
Unfortunately representatives from John Popham Planning were unable to attend the meeting, however a full set of drawings and briefing notes will be forwarded. Brightlingsea Town Council cannot offer any suggestions in the absence of any plans and ask the clerk to write a letter stating we were disappointed that the paperwork arrived too late for the meeting.
