636. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 17TH FEBRUARY 2011:
The Minutes of the 17th February 2011 are approved as a true record of the meeting.

638. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:
Councillor Dixon declared a prejudicial interest in this item and left the meeting. Councillor V Chapman took the chair.
11/00142/DETAIL Victoria Public House, 55 Spring Road, Brightlingsea – Demolition of public house and erection of 3 no. dwelling houses with parking.
Brightlingsea Town Council recommends approval and welcomes the fact that it is not an over development.
11/00111/FUL Colts, Lower Farm Lane, Freelands, Brightlingsea – Change of use from agricultural to garden to provide driveway to garages at rear of property.
Recommend Refusal – the applicant is requesting too much agricultural land for a driveway.
11/00173/FUL 66 Campernell Close, Brightlingsea – New conservatory to the rear of the property.
11/00174/FUL Adj. to Town Hard, Waterside, Brightlingsea – Installation of memorial to Reg White MBE.
No comment as it is a Town Council application
11/00194/DETAIL and 11/00196/OUT Land adjacent Springmead, Ladysmith Avenue, Brightlingsea – Erect two storey terrace of four dwellings, alter existing vehicular access and lay out parking and amenity areas.
11/00196/OUT – No Objection
11/00194/DETAIL – The Town Council would prefer the building to be closer to the roadway to prevent vehicles from parking.
11/00209/CON Sun Inn, 128 New Street, Brightlingsea – Demolition of extenstions and garage. Construction of new extensions to the Sun Inn, change of use of ground floor, construction of three new houses, demolition of existing garage and replacement of same, changes of parking area and associated landscape works.
Brightlingsea Town Council has concerns with the number of dwellings on the New Street/Colne Road corner and the likely increase in traffic.
