623. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:

Recommend Approval

10/01467/FUL / 10/01468/LBC 68 High Street, Brightlingsea – Raise front chimney to original height
Recommend Approval

10/01471/FUL / 10/01472/CON Sun Inn, 128 New Street, Brightlingsea – Demolition of extensions and garage.  Construction of new extensions to the Sun Inn, change of use of ground floor, construction of three new houses, demolition of existing garage and replacement of same, changes to parking area and associated landscapes works.
Brightlingsea Town Council has concerns with the number of dwellings on the New Street / Colne Road corner and the likely increase in traffic.

Councillor J Russell declared a personal interest in the following application.

10/01455/OUT Land at George Avenue, Brightlingsea – Outline application for the erection of 6 no. dwellings (resubmission of 10/00411/OUT)
Brightlingsea Town Council can see no planning reason to refuse but we would like our response to the previous planning application taken into consideration:

The area is designated as open allotments as stated in the Local Plan.  We also believe there is a covenant on the land.

10/01454/FUL Lower Farm, Lower Farm Lane, Brightlingsea – Change of use and conversion of redundant stables to 2 x 2 bedroom holiday lets.
Strongly recommend approval, great improvement.
