  1. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 9TH AUGUST 2018:

 

The Minutes of the meeting held on the 9th August 2018 were approved as a true record of the meeting.

  1. TO RECONFIRM THE COMMENTS FOR APPLICATION NUMBER 18/01351/MMO:

 

Members re-confirmed the comments made, as follows:-

 

“Following the receipt of some adverse comments from concerned residents, regarding the Jet skis Pontoon, an informal meeting of the Planning Committee, with the Mayor, Councillor Ben Smith, in attendance, took place last Thursday evening, to discuss the matter.  Some written comments had also been received from Wivenhoe residents.

 

The main concern appears to be that of noise in a residential area.  There was nothing wrong with the concept, but felt to be in the wrong location.  Nobody has yet heard a good word about the proposal.  Access would be through the Marina.  One Councillor commented that they would rather not have anything else that could cause upset in that area.  If the pontoon is not approved there will be no access into or through the Marina and jet ski’s will continue to be launched at infrequent intervals from the Hard.”
