The Minutes of the 23rd July 2009 be approved as a true record of the meeting.

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:
09/00734/CON Brettfield Developments, 96-98 High Street, Brightlingsea – Demolition of two outbuildings in rear cartilage of property
09/00733/FUL Brettfield Developments, 96-98 High Street, Brightlingsea – Two storey rear extension, alterations and conversion of building from offices into a pair of 3 bed semi- detached houses
The Town Council is concerned about the lack of car parking provision
Cllrs Steady, Block and Mann declared a personal interest in the following application
09/00740/FUL Governors of Colne Community School, Playing Field, Church Road, Brightlingsea – Proposed changing pavilion to replace existing, conversion of existing changing rooms to store
Recommend Approval subject to no parking being strictly enforced by the Colne Community School and use of the building be restricted to natural daylight hours.
A vote was taken – 5 in favour, 2 abstained.
Neither Cllr Steady nor Cllr Goggin (Members of the Joint Users Committee) had any prior notice of the application before this meeting.
09/00741/FUL Brightlingsea Town Council – Safe Play Area, Promenade Way, Brightlingsea – 1 x 8m galvanised pole with 3 security cameras. The pole will be on a concrete base inside the safe play area
The town Council makes no comment as it is its own application
09/00765/FUL Mrs D Barton – 89 Red Barn Road, Brightlingsea – Extension
