The Minutes of the meeting held on the 22nd June 2017 were approved as a true record of the meeting.

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:

 

Application No: 17/00306/FUL – Demolition of existing garage and the creation of 1 no. dwelling house accessed from existing driveway to Regent Road and associated landscape works. Creation of two new off-road vehicle parking spaces with a new dropped kerb to be associated with 2 Spring Road – 2 Spring Road, Brightlingsea

  • Needs Essex County Council to come out and view the road scene
  • BTC strongly objects to this application and our previous comments still stand:-
  • Loss of privacy to adjoining properties
  • Over-development of site – insufficient amenity land
  • Access onto a dangerous junction
  • Backland development
  • Brightlingsea Town Council wishes this application to go to Committee

Additional alterations to include new windows, door and disability access to ground level – 22A-22B Victoria Place, Brightlingsea

Reason for comment:

✓Makes observations on the application –

  • BTC strongly objects to this application
  • Brightlingsea Town Council has the same response as to the previous application and the Ward Member has ‘called’ in the application.
  • The development is:- overlooking; the height is too high; and lack of parking
  • This application should be sent to the committee with a site visit as this is a very controversial application, in a conservation area and our District Councillors supports this decision.

  1. TO DISCUSS THE TENDRING LOCAL PLAN 2013-2033 AND BEYOND – PUBLICATION DRAFT:

 

The Draft Plan was discussed at length and the contents of the District Local Plan were noted. Lorry movements to Waste Plan and Town Hard were noted and extra movements will be a cause for concern.
