  1. TENDRING DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN-PREFERRED OPTIONS CONSULTAION DOCUMENT – 2013-2033 AND BEYOND – COASTAL PROTECTION BELT:

The Committee listened to two presentation, one from Lisa Brown and the other from Roger Tabor.

The committee then discussed the area of the current boundary of the Coastal Protection Belt in relation to the proposed area, in the draft plan. There was a general consensus amongst the members that the area of the Local Plan that covers Wicks Wood and Lodge Wood and up to All Saints and Brightlingsea Hall Conservation Area should remain and not be deleted as shown.

The council is concerned that removal of the Coastal Protection Belt at this area could compromise the nearby SSSI as well as the woods and the Grade I Listed Buildings in the Conservation Area, should any development occur.
