On Thursday 26th February, Tracey Pulford, Val Gilders and myself attended the Tourism Show at the Charter Hall, Colchester where we launched this years Town Guide. It was a change of venue to previous years and we saw quite a few new faces. As always the guide goes extremely well at this event and a lot of interest from clubs and individuals to come along and visit the town.

In the next couple of weeks the guide is being distributed across the country and for the first time it will be available at Colchester Zoo which is fantastic as their footfall is huge. This contact came from being at the Tourism show.

Once again I was very disappointed that Tendring Council did not exhibit as I feel this is a great opportunity to show off the district. Even other towns also expressed there surprise that Tendring were not there.

I will be taking a full page advert out with Discover Britain’s Gardens, we have had ads with them in the past and have had a great response.
