Attended the Mayor’s fund raising Spring Dance with other staff and councillors on Saturday 8th March. What a great night!! Well done
On Wednesday 12th March I was invited to the Co-op Women’s Guild 85th Birthday Tea where I present the committee with presents for their help and support throughout the year.
Wednesday 19th March. Many organisations will get together to forward the plans of OWLs (Older Wiser Links) this included representatives from all local organisations, Churches Together, Salvation Army, Family Support, Coronation Club, Co-op Guild etc and also representatives from Essex sights, Age UK, etc. The aim is to back the national campaign to prevent loneliness.
I have helped progress the application for a local resident to have a wet room installed and work should start in the next week.
New hand rails and grip rails have been fitted to two local residents’ properties.
I was asked to attend a meeting a Spring Fields as many of the residents were worried about a large increase to their monthly maintenance charges. It seemed that the trust( Anchor ) that manages the site were trying to raise funds for future possible repairs covering the next 30 years, this caused a lot of distress to residents. We are awaiting the final report and hope the trust has taken on board the comments from residents.
On Thursday 20th I will attend the course on Code of Conduct for Councillors at Dunmow.
Lollypop Lady – Under threat again.
