Following concerns that the Lloyds Bank in Brightlingsea may be closing – driven by shorter opening hours and all-day closure on Wednesdays – Brightlingsea Town Council contacted the bank and has received the following reply from Matthew Harris, Lloyds’ public affairs manager: “Thank you for your letter of about our Brightlingsea branch, which Tim Baldwin passed to me for reply. I can confirm that this branch is not one that is being considered for closure. If you require any further information about this or any other aspect of our work in the local area, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
