2.5 Brightlingsea Sailing Club would like to request the use of the Lower Park Recreation Ground for the evening of 25th September through to the late afternoon of 27th September 2015. Brightlingsea Sailing Club is very pleased to be hosting the Royal Yachting Association’s Zone Championships, which is for youth competitors, and this is the first time we have been asked to hold it. We are anticipating around 150 competitors and their families.

Some will travel each day but there will be those who wish to camp or bring camper vans to the event and would therefore like to welcome them with opportunity of free camping to hopefully encourage them to return in the future.

It is a very prestigious event which will attract up to 500 people and if previous events held at the club are to go by will bring a significant amount of trade to the businesses of the town.
