A former barn which was converted to a holiday let can now be used as a permanent residential dwelling.

The property on the site in Folkards Lane, Brightlingsea, was originally converted following a planning permission granted by Tendring District Council (TDC) in 2004.

However, a condition was imposed that it could only be used for holiday accommodation.

The applicant has asked for that condition to be lifted and that has been agreed by the Council as there would be minimal impact created by the proposal.

Brightlingsea Town Council was in favour of the application and TDC received no other representations.
