The Chairman informed members that unfortunately Ian Taylor of Tendring District Council
was unable to attend this meeting, to discuss the criteria for S106 monies.

F.057 CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON THE 24TH MARCH 2021:
The Minutes were accepted as a true record.
F.058 DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS:
Members were reminded of the requirement to disclose any interest in relation to items on the agenda when these are discussed.
F.059 PAWSONS PLAYGROUND:
The Chairman welcomed Terry Hamilton – Grounds Manager, to the meeting, and asked the District Councillors about the meeting, held today, with officers of Tendring District Council, and whether there was any movement on any finance coming to Brightlingsea Town Council. Councillor Steady replied yes, but not necessarily for Pawsons Playground. He informed members that he has suggested an on-site meeting next week with the officer, to see where we are.
Councillor Steady referred members to the e-mail he sent round to all members on the 27th March, on the way forward. He said that he was surprised that following the partnership meeting held on 29th September 2020 where it stated that Councillor Howard had presented the skate park and playground schemes to TDC and the officer stating that they would be happy to part-fund these schemes. He said that according to the e-mail received from the officer on 26th March 2021, it would appear that the latest scheme for the Playground had not been sent to Tendring District Council, however all plans have now been sent over, but we are playing catch-up.
Much discussion took place on the way forward and how to get the playground up and running for the coming season.
It was then agreed that:-
- The annual inspection by The Playground Company would be carried out as soon as possible.
- The playground would be opened as safely as possible, before replacement of equipment was carried out.
- Terry Hamilton to meet with Councillor Barry to discuss different plans/ideas.
- The insurance to be checked re: 3rd party liability.
Terry Hamilton left the meeting at 4.30pm.
F.060 INSURANCE POLICY:
The Clerk informed members that the insurance policy for the Councils vehicles was due on the 20th April 2021. Quotations had been received from Zurich Municipal for a 1 year term at £1,325.21 or a 3 year term at £1,258.95.
Members agreed to enter into a 3 year term at £1,258.95 for the first year.
