On Wednesday 29th January AGE UK held their Winter Warmth Campaign at the council offices.  They offered electric blanket testing free of charge.  If any failed and the resident was over 65 a free one was offered to them.  They had 10 appointments made but were also offering help and advice on several different matters.  They were also selling fleece blankets, had knitted blankets, torches, thermal drinking cups etc at very reasonable prices.

As I have had a lot of welfare based calls over the past month they offered to take some of these residents enquiries from me and I  have been told that all 4 have been contacted and the forms filled in for them.

On 12th February I was invited to attend the Co-op Women’s Guild.  The main topic was about the street lights and pot holes.  Brightlingsea Co-op Guild will be 85 in March and I have been invited to their birthday party.
