An empty building in Brightlingsea High Street looks set to be turned into a licensed restaurant and takeaway.

Tendring District Council (TDC) has given the plan for 10 High Street, which includes building a single storey rear extension, the green light.

The application for Mr E Sackey has been approved by planning officers under delegated powers.

The Council has agreed operating hours of 9am to 10.30pm from Sunday to Thursday and 9am to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays.

There is also a condition imposed that the existing extraction equipment will continue to be used – or details any new equipment submitted to TDC for its approval before it can be operated.
