From Alan Goggin
I am the Essex County Councillor [ECC] for Brightlingsea, Alresford. Thorrington. Great Bentley and St.Osyth.
I have been approached by several residents who are concerned about proposed changes to the no 87 bus route and in particular the 6.00 service from Brightlingsea. The whole story and procedure sounds slightly unusual, and even though I have yet to have any official confirmation from Hedingham or ECC I am interested in your views.
If you have concerns can I ask you to contact me direct. The best point of contact is my email address which is egog@btinternet.com. If unable to use – my telephone numbers are 01206 308 023 [landline] and 07860 519 117 [mobile].
I am especially interested in any consultation that has taken [or not taken] place and how any changes will affect you personally.
As I say I have several case studies already but am interested in more circumstances.
There also appear to be issues with “return” time changes in the evening, and again I would be interested to hear what effect they will have.
At this stage I make no promises but the changes as explained appear to run contrary to better and more effective use of public transport.
