A grassed area in Brightlingsea can continue to be used to store up to 12 caravans over the winter, it has been decided.

The site in Folkards Lane has accommodated caravans since 1988 and is now regularly used by customers.

Tendring District Council (TDC) received an application for the use to continue and granted permission with five conditions.

One of these is improved landscaping top prevent the caravans being visible from certain areas of Folkards Lane.

The proposal was supported by Brightlingsea Town Council and TDC also received one letter of support as well as two others with observations.

There were no objections from Essex County Council as the Highway Authority.
