A scheme to build two new homes on paddock land in Brightlingsea has been turned down.

Tendring District Council (TDC) rejected the plans for the bungalows on the site east of Folkards Lane. The land falls within the countryside, outside the settlement development boundary, and was not considered sustainable.

The Council also decided that there were no special justifications to grant planning permission. Brightlingsea Town Council objected to the application and two other letters raising concerns were received.
