Following adverse comments on social media regarding the condition of the skate park, as Councillor responsible for the Western Promenade, I remind you an article was published in the Chronicle in July 2018, stating that we were seeking funding for a new skate park and getting quotes from companies specialising in skate park design and build.

We are very much aware of the state of the park, and keep it under review.  We are hoping to get funding from various sources, but also asked the public to help.

You will appreciate that a town council does not have the funds to do this work – £240,000.  If you have any ideas for helping with funding, I ask that you contact the town council directly or via this link.
