A decision to scrap providing free black waste bags to homes across Tendring is to be reconsidered by Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Cabinet later this month.

The Cabinet agreed the move to end the provision and delivery of the sacks to 68,000 properties at a meeting last year. The aim is to save around £155,000 next year.

However, the decision was called-in for scrutiny by the Council’s Corporate Management Committee and was on the agenda at its meeting yesterday.

It was decided to send the decision back to Cabinet for reconsideration at its meeting on January 22.
