Tendring DC in partnership with the Environment Agency and Jaywick Sands Community Forum are holding a BE SAFE: Winter Ready event at Golf Green Hall, Golf Green Road, Jaywick, on Thursday, October 24 from 12.15 to 4.15pm

Members of the public can pop along and receive useful tips from various organisations such as the Environment Agency, Met Office, Public Health England, Age UK, CVST, Anglian Water, Affinity Water and Essex Highways Safe Roads. There’ll also be some children’s entertainment in the form of Elsa from Frozen, from 1-3pm, and a few winter-themed activities.

Free tea and coffee will be available throughout the event and there will be a draw for vouchers for the Princes Theatre pantomime.
