The remainder of the posts have been installed and the area is looking tidier. More posts will be positioned in due course.

Due to inclement weather and the ground being further churned up by foolhardy drivers the gates to the car park are being closed around 4pm, or not opened at all if the weather is extremely bad.

The soil, which has been placed on the safe play (and improve the parking area), is to even the ground and prepare it for seasonal use by the Rugby Club. This work has been somewhat hampered by the very heavy rain fall, but is now making good progress. Further amounts of soil have been placed on the skate park to improve the bump tracks. It is hoped this work will be taken on by past/present students from the Colne Community School. Councillor Barry is leading this as Youth MSR.

There appears to be a discrepancy regarding beach hut permits for Brightlingsea compared to other areas in the District and there is still quite a lot of consternation about the fairness of this situation.

The path around the paddling pool was swept prior to the Easter break, but there has been a further build up of seaweed and sand due to continuing high tides.
