Brightlingsea Town Council is fully aware of the anti social behaviour that is taking place by a minority, in and around the town.
To date a letter has been sent to the Prime Minister, the Police and Crime Commissioner, Bernard Jenkin MP, Commander Russ Cole and Inspector Julia Finch, stressing our concern and need for a higher profile of the police
in the town.
On the 21st September 2016 a Dispersal Power was put in place which covers Victoria Place and all roads leading from it. The Town Council is also in the process of obtaining a Public Space Protection Order, which has the backing from the Commanding Officer.
Residents are advised to report all incidents to the Police and receive an incident number.
