All businesses, clubs and associations in Brightlingsea have a vested interest in promoting our town where we boast so many diverse activities, interests and attractions for audiences of all ages from all walks. The more we work together to increase visitor numbers, the greater the likely success and the more everyone will benefit.

The Official Town Guide – last year’s cover is shown right – is central to our tourism strategy and activities.  For 2020 we are launching this long-serving, established publication in a new, more attractive and easy-to-follow format. Readers will find it quick and easy to navigate through and pick out the areas of most interest to them.

Our aim is to make it as comprehensive as possible so visitors can see the whole picture at a glance; providing the clarity necessary to give you the greatest chance of a healthy response.  So perhaps I  can ask you to look through the details attached and consider the clear advantages of us all coming together to support Discover Brightlingsea so we reach a common objective.

There’s more. We have future plans to set up three Tourist Information Centres, to place  ‘You-Are-Here’ maps in and around the town and to erect brown tourist signposts at key positions. These are all essential investments to support tourism.

I very much hope many will join in with BTC in this initiative. Once you have had a chance to read through the attached information, please get in touch.
