COUNCIL MEETING – 19TH NOVEMBER 2009 Minute 121 – Questions from the Public. Questions Q2) Anna Burnett – What’s happening on the Town Appraisal Questionnaire? Q3) Mr Price – An independent body sets the allowances, but how is that independent body funded? Q4) Mrs House – With regard to the speed limits of traffic, is it time we followed suit on ’20 is plenty’? Western Road is a cul-de-sac, but cars still speed down there. Also, nearly two weeks ago our shop window as broken. We are still waiting for the police to contact us regarding our CCTV film. Answers Councillor Janet Aldridge replied that Brightlingsea is launching a similar scheme called the Considerate Parking Initiative. Advisory tickets will be issued where people are parking and blocking pavements, etc. Car registration numbers will be taken and stored on a data base. A3) Councillor Block replied that it is Government Body. A4) Councillor Janet Russell replied that the TDALC (Tendring District Association of Local Councils) are looking into this at the moment. |
