535. CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 29TH APRIL 2010:

The Minutes of the 29th April 2010 be approved as a true record of the meeting.

Matters arising from minute number 532: Planning application Number 10/00411/OUT –  (Cllr  Russell declared a personal interest in this application) Referred to Ward Member Councillor Graham Steady to request referral to D&C Committee.

536. DECLARATION OF PERSONAL & PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS:

537. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

The following applications had been received by Tendring District Council:

10/00481/FUL Proposed replacement garden shed – 55 Queen Street, Brightlingsea
Recommend Approval

10/00442/FUL Cindery Island, Brightlingsea Creek, Brightlingsea – Beneficial placement of accumulated silt from channels immediately adjacent to Cindrey Island in Brightlingsea Creek to create new saltmarsh on areas of the island which have now returned to mud due to previous human activity on the island
The Town Council welcomes this application.

538. LETTER FROM TENDRING DISTRICT COUNCIL CONCERNING 1 HIGH STREET, BRIGHTLINGSEA:

Cllr Russell declared a prejudicial interest in this item.
Cllr Dixon declared a personal interest in this item.

After discussion it was agreed that a letter be sent to the Inspectorate outlining Brightlingsea Town Council reasons for not refusing.

A vote was taken: For – 4, Against – 1, Abstention – 1
