Brightlingsea Town Council has won a Localism in Action award, presented at the Essex Association of Local Councils Annual Competitions & Awards Ceremony 2011 held on 27.9.11.
The award recognises ideas and initiatives aimed at promoting localism in action and shows that the Council believes local voices matter. The judges commented favourably on the Town Plan, saying it was very comprehensive with clear bar charts.
