The first Energize Day in Brightlingsea was met with great enthusiasm and lots of good comments, reports Councillor Graham Steady. 

"The event ran smoothly, at this moment in time we have had only good comments. It is difficult to put an exact attendance figure on it as people were moving around the different activities, but I would say about 2000 overall. There was a good mix of age groups creating a good atmosphere.  Money was raised through advertising, donations from various individuals and groups and organisations, including the Mayoral Fund, MSR budgets from Cllrs Mann, Yallop and Steady,  also thanks all the councillors and staff who attended at various times during the day. Part of the graffiti wall is to be sited at the swimming pool. I would also like to congratulate the organising committee for all their hard work."
