Member with Special Responsibilty for Transport & Highways. I have lived in in the Town for 25 years and have run the Sewing Shop in Wellington Street for the past 13 years. My three children aged 26, 24 and 10 all have been pupils at the Brightlingsea Schools. As MSR for Transport and Highways I liaised with the bus companies during the threatened withdrawal of the 78 service. I am aware of the problems that Brightlingsea residents face at the present time regarding the bus service and am in constant contact with the people involved to provide a better service for the bus users. Also I am in contact with the Essex County Council to try and improve the appalling state of our road and pathways. |
