Tendring Sports Personality Awards PDF Print E-mail

Members of various Clubs in Brightlingsea have been successful in various categories in the Tendring Sports Personality Awards. The nominations reflects the positive side of Brightlingsea’s clubs and organisations. The winners were:

• 1st Place, Under 18 Team Award –  Jessica Rust (pictured below, left) and Millie Newman, Brightlingsea Sailing Club
• 1st Place, Coach of the Year – Craig Bond, Brightlingsea Sailing Club (pictured below, middle)
• 3rd Place, Volunteer of the Year – Terry Doherty, Brightlingsea Regent Football Club
• 1st Place, Development of Sport for Young People – Brightlingsea Rugby Club Youth Section (pictured bottom)

The Council did also nominate one other individual for the Under 18’s Sports Personality Award. Although unsuccessful on this occasion we are sure that the potential he shows will reap the rewards in the future.
The presentation of the awards was held on Tuesday 15th November where our Deputy Mayor, Councillor Karen Yallop, represented the Council.
